Alpaca Products
We offer a small range of alpaca fibre products produced from our own Huacaya alpacas, including hand‑spun alpaca yarn, washed and carded fleece, raw fleeces, and a limited selection of hand‑crafted alpaca garments and accessories. All fibre products are made from 100% Huacaya alpaca fibre, using natural colours where possible. Products are produced in small batches, reflecting the seasonal nature of fibre supply and the hands‑on processes involved.
We do not operate an online shop. Products (see below) are available by enquiry, and availability varies throughout the year. Please contact us to discuss current availability, colours, or custom requests.

The Merits of Alpaca Fibre
Huacaya alpaca fibre is highly regarded for its warmth, softness, and durability. The natural crimp in Huacaya fibre traps air, providing excellent insulation while remaining lightweight and breathable. Unlike sheep’s wool, alpaca fibre contains no lanolin, making it suitable for many people who find wool irritating or uncomfortable against the skin. Alpaca fibre also has a natural lustre and comes in a wide range of beautiful natural colours, allowing the fibre itself to be showcased without the need for dyes.

Alpaca Yarn
Our Huacaya alpaca yarn is hand‑spun from fibre grown on farm and is typically available in 100g balls in a range of natural colours.
Yarn is produced in small batches, and availability varies throughout the year. Please contact us to confirm current colours and stock.

Washed & Carded Fleece
Washed and carded Huacaya alpaca fleece is available ready for spinning or felting. Fibre is sold in 200g bags in natural colours.

Raw Fleece
Raw Huacaya alpaca fleeces are available for purchase directly from our animals. Fleeces are supplied straight off the alpaca’s back, with a light skirting completed to remove the coarsest or most contaminated edges.
Raw fleeces are well suited to spinners and fibre artists who prefer to wash and process fibre themselves and enjoy working with fleece in its most natural form.
Availability is seasonal and colour‑dependent.

Care & Washing Guide
Alpaca fibre is naturally strong and resilient, but gentle care will help maintain its softness and structure over time.
We recommend hand washing alpaca yarns, garments, and blankets in cool or lukewarm water using a mild wool‑safe detergent. Avoid agitation, long soaking, or sudden temperature changes, as these can cause felting. Gently squeeze out excess water — do not wring — and dry flat in the shade, reshaping if required.
Alpaca products do not need frequent washing; airing between uses is often sufficient. With minimal washing and thoughtful care, alpaca fibre retains its warmth, softness, and appearance beautifully.
